Insight FM was founded in 2019 by Sam Shale and James Bevis
We have a strong background in building maintenance strategy and building services engineering design, drawing on our combined experience to offer clients considered and budget-conscious advice that meets their specific needs.
Sam Shale
Director
Sam is primarily responsible for business development and leads our mechanical services design and maintenance management support.
His career began in mechanical building services design. Sam has also spent time as a site-based Technical Services Manager, responsible for a team of maintenance engineers, and delivered a building services and fabric maintenance service contract in a 100,000 square foot commercial building.
For the last 10 years, Sam has worked as a building services consultant providing maintenance management support to building managers and asset owners across a range of high-end residential and commercial buildings.
James Bevis
Director
James is primarily responsible for the technical aspects of the consultancy and leads our electrical services design and maintenance management support.
During his early career, he was employed at a mechanical and electrical services contractor, before moving into electrical building services design consultancy, employed by medium-sized to global consultancies.
James has experience working in a range of sectors including: catering/hospitality; autistic spectrum disorder/special educational needs schools; commercial schemes; high-end and local authority residential schemes; historic building refurbishments and industrial schemes for both private clients, local authorities and property management companies.
Tom Churchill
Associate Director
Tom is a highly experienced mechanical services engineer with over 20 years’ experience within the construction and real estate industry. He has worked on a wide variety of projects across different sectors including hotels, commercial offices, airports, sports centres, education and residential.
With a background in site maintenance, Tom is ideally positioned to compliment the team at Insight FM with his strong working knowledge of mechanical services maintenance and commissioning.
Tom has used his practical knowledge as a foundation for design and management; excellent co-ordination and design review skills make him a key member of any project team. Tom assists our team in day-to-day operations including surveying and reporting, maintenance service auditing and design/plant replacement projects.
Technical Support Staff
We also have technical support staff on-hand to assist with engineering drawings and specialist surveys, such as F Gas & TM44 Surveys & EPC Assessments.
