  • RIBA Stage 7 operational engineering consultancy to building managers, surveyors and stakeholders

    small works and asset replacement
  • surveying and reporting; including pre-acquisition, condition, lifecycle and capital expenditure etc

You may already work in a consultancy environment or be looking to make the transition from FM Provider into Building Services Consultancy, where you can develop both your technical and commercial skills.
 
We provide operational engineering (RIBA Stage 7) support to a portfolio of over fifty buildings, and have a strong client base of building surveyors, building management companies and asset owners. 
 
As we enter our fifth year of trading, we are excited to be recruiting for an electrical engineer at senior to principal level to join our expanding team, working primarily in the operational engineering/asset management field.
 
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and strengths in most of the following areas:

  • Performance design and specification of electrical services installations; from high-end residential to office fit-outs and plant/asset replacement.
  • Experience in surveying electrical services installations and compiling various types of technical reports; from entire buildings to individual assets (pre-acquisition, condition, lifecycle, license to alter/dilapidations, capital expenditure and plant/asset replacement etc).
  • A broad understanding/practical experience of Electrical Services and Fire & Security Systems (including relevant British Standards), and an ability to interrogate various design, operational/maintenance and statutory compliance issues.
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively communicate with clients and contractors.
  • Excellent written and report writing skills.
  • Accustomed to managing own diary and prioritising workload to achieve agreed delivery deadlines.
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a small team, including management of external support consultants.
  • Comfortable representing the company/chairing small-scale project and site meetings.
  • Preferable to have previous experience working in a consultancy environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office365 (Outlook, Word & Excel).

Primarily office based (Croydon) with ad-hoc working from home, the role will require regular travel into London/South.
 
We also offer the opportunity to be involved with our portfolio of sites, overseeing various types of maintenance contracts (prior experience with maintenance contracts is not required).

Remuneration package includes:

  • Up to £65K depending upon experience
